Service Description
This is an enjoyable gundog group training session for up to 8 handlers on the stunning West Wycombe Estate, Buckinghamshire (for all gundog breeds) you can swap dogs at lunch time if you want to work more than one. We will meet at Kitty's Lodge 15 mins before the session starts (High Street, West Wycombe, High Wycombe, HP14 3AA) for tea/coffee. There is a large white wooden electric gate and I will let you in. Please do not arrive before 9.30am as there will no be anyone there to let you in. 10am to approx 3pm with a break for lunch (please bring your own lunch and refreshments and a chair to sit on). There are no toilet facilities on site. £90 per handler This is for the gundogs who will be joining a shoot day either as a peg dog, picking up or beating dog or preparing for field trials. Ideally your dog should have heard shot before and be keen to hunt and retrieve with a reliable recall. If your dog is not ready - you must book onto either my 'novice' gundog training days or my gundog foundation groups. We will be using canvas dummies in the morning to begin with and then move onto cold game (pheasant and/or partridge) after lunch. Please bring a suitable game bag or dummy vest to carry the dummies and game. If you don't have one please let me know and I can lend you one. These sessions are suitable for dogs who have never retrieved game before or for those wanting to brush up their skills ready for your shoot days ahead. Unfortunately dogs that bark continuously are not allowed on the estate. Please contact jennifer@jtdogtraining.com if you have any questions. Spaces will be sold on a first come first served basis and once booked on, no refund can be given. Participation in Jennifer Thomas Dog Training activities is entirely at the risk of the participant. Neither Jennifer Thomas or its individual instructors or helpers, nor the owners or landlords of our training venues or estates accept any responsibilities, whatsoever, for any injuries or losses sustained. Handlers and/or owners remain responsible for their dogs and equipment at all times and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet or household insurance cover for liability in the unlikely event of damage or injury caused by their dog to property or to a third party of another dog. * Photos might be taken during the day for use on my website or social media.
