Gundog Training Day - Friday 14th February 2025 West Wycombe Estate | 10am - 2.30pm Cost: £70 per handler. RETRIEVER WORKING TEST TRAINING DAY FOR EXPERIENCED HANDLERS - NOVICE/OPEN LEVEL Join me for a training day at The West Wycombe Estate, Bucks, on Friday 14th February, from 10:00am to 2:30pm. This event is specifically aimed at handlers and dogs preparing for Novice and Open level working tests. The estate provides a great mix of parkland, woodland, and water, giving you plenty of space to stretch your dog’s abilities in a realistic environment. What’s Involved: 🐾 Training Setup: I will set up 3 or 4 working tests suitable for Novice/Open level dogs. Each handler will be judged by me on their performance in each test, with plenty of opportunity to re-run them to perfect your technique. 🐾 Scoring: Each test will consist of 2 retrieves, scored out of 20 points (10 points for each retrieve). Your first test score will be counted, and the handler with the highest score will win a prize, generously sponsored by Muntjac Trading 🐾 Goodies for All: Every participant will receive a Skinner's goody bag. Limited spaces – Only 6 handlers will be accepted to ensure plenty of one-on-one attention. Looking forward to seeing you there! Venue Details: Please arrive at Kitty’s Lodge, High Street, West Wycombe, High Wycombe HP14 3AA by 9.45am for a prompt 10am start. The day will finish at 2.30pm. Barking: Dogs that bark continuously will be asked to leave the estate. No Refund Policy: Once booked, no refunds will be given unless a vet’s letter is provided. Insurance: Participation is at the handler’s own risk. Jennifer Thomas Dog Training, instructors, helpers, and estate owners/landlords accept no liability for injury or loss. Handlers are responsible for their dogs, vehicles and equipment at all times and should ensure they have appropriate pet or household insurance in case of damage or injury caused by their dog.
