Service Description

Gundog Training Day - Friday 28th February 2025 West Wycombe Estate | 10am - 2.30pm Each handler will enjoy a full day of gundog training using dummies on the stunning West Wycombe Estate. The session runs from 10am to 2.30pm, with a break for lunch. Cost: £70 per handler. This covers the training fee, ground hire, tea and coffee on arrival, and a dedicated dummy thrower. Who’s it for? This day is suitable for dogs that have a complete retrieve, delivering to hand, and are capable of being handled onto blind retrieves using the stop whistle. If your dog is not yet at this level, please attend one of my novice training days before booking the experienced sessions. We can set up some working test scenarios ready for the working tests ahead. All breeds welcome - we will mainly be working on the retrieving element however, HPR's and spaniels can hunt out ahead of the retrievers in our walk up scenarios. Venue Details: Please arrive at Kitty’s Lodge, High Street, West Wycombe, High Wycombe HP14 3AA by 9.45am for a prompt 10am start. The day will finish at 2.30pm. Generously supported by Skinner's and Muntjac Trading. Type of training ground: Open parkland, woodland, rivers, brooks, obstacles. (Rivers have huge amount ground either side to create further longer retrieves.) Important Notes: Barking: Dogs that bark continuously will be asked to leave the estate. No Refund Policy: Once booked, no refunds will be given unless a vet’s letter is provided. Insurance: Participation is at the handler’s own risk. Handlers are responsible for their dogs, vehicles and equipment at all times and should ensure they have appropriate pet or household insurance in case of damage or injury caused by their dog.
