Gundog Experienced Training Day - Friday 22nd May 2026 Shotover Park, Wheatley, Oxon | 10am - 3pm Each handler will enjoy a full day of gundog training using dummies on the stunning Shotover Park Estate by kind permission of The Stainer Family - The house, garden and parkland are Grade I-listed with English Heritage. The session runs from 10am to approx 3pm, with a break for lunch. Cost: £60 per handler. This covers the training fee, tea and coffee on arrival, and a dedicated dummy thrower with a maximum of 6 handlers in the group. Who’s it for? This day is suitable for dogs that have a complete retrieve, delivering to hand, and are capable of being handled onto blind retrieves using the stop whistle. If your dog is not yet at this level, please attend one of my novice training days before booking the experienced sessions. We can set up some working test scenarios ready for working tests and a walk up or getting the dogs back on track ready for the next shooting season. All breeds welcome - we will mainly be working on the retrieving element in parkland, woodland on and over water.
