Spaniel morning 2 hours session at West Wycombe - Friday 24 April 2026 West Wycombe Estate | 10am to 12pm Cost: £50 Maximum of 6 handlers per group This two-hour session is designed for spaniels (18 months and older) who are keen to hunt, retrieve, and have a reliable recall. Dogs should be used to training in a group and focused on their handler, not distracted by other dogs or inclined to run off with dummies. If your spaniel is not ready for this group, please book onto my Beginner Gundog sessions detailed below. Ideally, dogs should have a complete retrieve and be ready to progress with their training after the season or for competition in working tests. There may be an opportunity for dogs to swim in the rivers on the estate. Training focus: Steadiness, Recall, Hunting/Quartering with distractions, Handling, Retrieving Marks and Blinds and perhaps tidying up the stop whistle. £50 per handler this is for a 2 hour session. Long lines can be used if necessary to get them settled into the environment. Unfortunately dogs that bark continuously are not allowed to participate at the request of Sir Edward Dashwood.
