WWE - Cold Game Gundog Day : Fri 25/11
Gundog training on the West Wycombe Estate on Friday 25th November from 10am to approx 2.30pm

This is a gundog group training session for up to 8 handlers on the West Wycombe Estate, Buckinghamshire (for all gundog breeds) you can swap dogs at lunch time if you want to work more than one. We will meet at Kitty's Lodge 15 mins before the session starts (High Street, West Wycombe, High Wycombe, HP14 3AA). There is a large white wooden electric gate and I will let you in. Please do not arrive before 9.30am as there will no be anyone there to let you in. 10am to approx 2.30pm with a break for lunch (please bring your own lunch and refreshments and a chair to sit on). During the day we will be working at the following: Heel work, recall, handling (lining up and directional), delivery to hand, the stop whistle, marked and bind retrieves (in parkland, woodland and water if available). £80 per handler For these classes dogs should sit/stay when asked, have good recall and ideally be steady to a thrown dummy. If not then we will work on their steadiness. We will be using canvas dummies in the morning and then moving onto cold game (pheasant and partridge) after lunch. You do not have to retrieve cold game if you prefer not to. Please contact email@example.com if you are unsure if your dog is not ready for this stage yet. I have a foundation gundog training group at my home near Princes Risborough which you can book up onto first. Spaces will be sold on a first come first served basis and once booked on, no refund can be given. Please note that the is a lot of wildlife on the estate including sheep, partridge, duck, geese, swans etc. Participation in Jennifer Thomas Dog Training activities is entirely at the risk of the participant. Neither Jennifer Thomas or its individual instructors or helpers, nor the owners or landlords of our training venues or estates accept any responsibilities, whatsoever, for any injuries or losses sustained. Handlers and/or owners remain responsible for their dogs and equipment at all times and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet or household insurance cover for liability in the unlikely event of damage or injury caused by their dog to property or to a third party of another dog. * Photos might be taken during the day for use on my website or social media.
