Service Description

This is an enjoyable gundog group training session for up to 8 handlers on the stunning West Wycombe Estate, Buckinghamshire (for all gundog breeds) you can swap dogs at lunch time if you want to work more than one. We will meet 15 minutes before the session starts at Kitty's Lodge, High Street, West Wycombe, High Wycombe, HP14 3AA for tea/coffee. There is a large white wooden electric gate close to the roundabout with a petrol station and I will let you in. Please do not arrive before 9.30am as there will no be anyone there to let you in. The session will start promptly at 10am and finish around 3.30pm with a break for lunch at about 12.30pm (please bring your own lunch and refreshments and a chair to sit on). I will provide tea/coffee. (There are no toilet facilities on site.) If you wanted to stop before hand I can recommend: which is 5 minutes drive away. £70 per handler For these classes your dog/puppy should be 'experienced' and be ready or already competing in working tests at either Speical Puppy, Novice Dog/Novice Handler, Novice or Open level. I will adjust the retrieves to suit the level of your dogs on the day. Training areas: Marked, memory and blind retrieves using parkland, woodland and water Delivery of the dummy Steadiness Heel work in a walk up Hunting Stop whistle Handling Unfortunately dogs that bark continuously are not allowed on the Estate at the request of Sir Edward Dashwood. If you think your dog is not quite ready - please don't worry and come to my 'novice' group first to be assessed. Please contact if you have any questions. Spaces will be sold on a first come first served basis and once booked on, no refund can be given. Participation in Jennifer Thomas Dog Training activities is entirely at the risk of the participant. Neither Jennifer Thomas or its individual instructors or helpers, nor the owners or landlords of our training venues or estates accept any responsibilities, whatsoever, for any injuries or losses sustained. Handlers and/or owners remain responsible for their dogs and equipment at all times and are advised to ensure they have adequate pet or household insurance cover for liability in the unlikely event of damage or injury caused by their dog to property or to a third party of another dog. * Photos might be taken during the day for use on my website or social media.
